Industrial Wicket Gates Versus Steel Personnel Doors

Here we look at the differences between Industrial Wicket Gates and Steel Personnel Doors; you can choose what is suitable for you.

Wicket Gates don't look as attractive as steel personnel doors; however, they are an ideal solution when you don't have wall space.

To operate the shutter, you do have to pull the wicket gate back. Ensure the gate meets with the safety interlock switch before lifting the shutter. Should the wicket gate still be in the shutter, the safety interlock switch is designed to stop the shutter from working. Without that safety feature, significant damage to the entire door could occur.

Industrial Wicket Gates come into their own when you don't want to raise the shutter.

They make walking through the closed opening more efficient, saving you time.

If you have enough spare wall space, a steel personnel door would be our go-to when advising you of the best option.  Steel personnel doors are robust and secure.  In addition, they are simpler to use compared to a wicket gate.  In our opinion, they look nicer and, unlike wicket gates, windows and grilles can be added.
