Steel Personnel and Sliding Doors Project
The owner of this industrial building came to us to install steel personnel and sliding doors. He is converting it into a museum of his private collection.
The building is old, and the customer wants to maintain the industrial aesthetic. Therefore, he asked us to place a steel sliding door over the office glass windows and doors.
The sliding door has a 1.2m galvanised double skin sheet with insulation. The size of this particular door is 3250mm wide x 2475mm high, and it has a powder-coated finish to RAL 9005 Jet Black.
Steel Personnel Doors
In addition to the sliding door, there are two steel personnel doors and an emergency exit door.
The personnel doors will have electronic strike locks, which operate with a handheld fob.
One of the personnel doors has a fabricated panel above.
Emergency Exit Door
Finally, we have the Emergency Exit Door. This opening doubles up as a wheelchair access. For this reason, it has an extra wide size of 1110mm wide x 2070mm high.
This door also has a Trimex Electric Release lock. In an emergency, either the lock will release in the event of power failure, or a green emergency push button will be on the wall to release the door.
All these doors are powder coated in the same matt colour. You can find further information on sliding doors by clicking on our sliding door page, and more help with personnel and exit doors can be found here.
