Save Money and Time

Save Money and Time.  Act Quickly!

Here you can see the result of some typical impact damage.   If this happens to your door and the damage isn't as severe as this, you may think, "It's only a dent; the door is still working!"  In this blog, we explore why that is not a good idea and how quick action can save money and time.

What Harm Is that LIttle Dent Doing?

Potentially this little dent could be causing a chain reaction throughout your door.

When a roller shutter curtain is installed, it has to be in perfect alignment.  If it isn't, it won't run true in the guides, and over time the curtain will shift in order to try to correct itself.  Every time it runs up and around the barrel, it runs more unevenly and moves across to one side.

Eventually, the pressure of the curtain within the guides on that side will cause it to snag and stop it from moving altogether.

When that happens, it not only causes you inconvenience, but in addition, it will create more damage and potentially pose a risk to people walking beneath it.

The slight dent would have been a minor and rapid repair, but as a result of ignoring the damage, now it means a whole new curtain, at the least, if not a whole new door.

So when minor damage occurs, please don't leave it; Act Quickly!  In doing so, you save time by not having an opening out of action and save money by avoiding more costly repairs.
